How long after scaring can you be out in the sun without it effecting yours scars?

i was in a bad motorcycle accident and i have alot of roadrash all over the place. Some of the scars are still healing. I was told not to go out in the sun or tan because it would make the scars stand out more!!!! what can i do to make them go away or help them fade?? anything please|||I recently lost one very good friend in an MC accident, and his girl friend survived. She is seriously wounded, and she%26#039;s today in a wheel chair.

She went into the hospital one and a half year after the accident to fix her worst scars. Now, just after the surgery, she is not very happy with her scars. They are not much better and even bigger end more red than before she say.

She came to visit in Greece last August, and she had to cover up her self to not have too much pain with the scar%26#039;s. Not to stay too long in the sun.

Why am I telling this.

Well, if you think about fixing your scars, maybe it%26#039;s just best to leave them as they are.....

Also, you should stay out of the sun, or at least cover the scars for at least a couple of summers.

I removed two moles, and my doctor told me to stay out of the sun ALL summer, or at lest cover them with bandages or similar...

So, I guess it depends on your scars.....|||you should keep the scarred areas out of the sun for one year. you will need to use a sunscreen when in the sun before the year is over. A lot of people have success using the over the counter scar preparations.|||i am not completely sure, but personally, i have scars and stretch marks, and i love the tanning beds for that reason, they cover them like you wouldnt believe..i love it and havent had any issues at all.

I would give yourself time to heal...lather up on some sunscreen and use tanning beds if your looking to get that healthy glow.

good luck :)|||Massage vitamin e oil into the scars. The oil will help return elasticity to the skin and the massage will help break up the scar tissue. The sun isn%26#039;t going to affect the scars too much, but darkening the skin around them will make them stand out more. Wait untill they%26#039;re healed and don%26#039;t hurt anymore before exposing them to the sun.|||iam pity with ur feeling as u said that u had a bad accident .......

u should cover ur self for couple of months as summer is going to be harsh never go for trial..

if u needed so go out early in morning before 7.30am or else at the evening times...

early morning sunrays before sun turns to voilent... it has source of vit e...

even if u tried to move at this time go only by caror by hiring taxi ,,never go for ride on ur bike until ur totally recovered..|||pure vitamin e, cocoa butter and aloe vera|||Wait until the redness or sometimes purpleness is gone away. Cover with sunblock also.
