How do i get rid of my scars?

Two months ago i had ankle surgery, and i am left with two scars, both about 4 inches long. I am an extremely self concious person, and now with summer coming up I really dont want to wear skirts or shorts. Does anyone know of any treatments,creams, or remedies that will remove my scars? Are there any foods I can eat that will help? Or even makeup that might cover it? Any ideas? If your surgery was 2 months ago, you can expect the redness to persist for around a year, as it fades gradually. If you want to use one of the OTC lotions that claim to diminish scars, they won%26#039;t hurt, altho they may not help either. In a year or so when the healing %26amp; fading are done, you can consider laser removal. For now, makeup or just ignoring the scars are your best bets..
