How 2 get rid of purple dark scars on my shins Ive had since I was a child ?

I have always had a collagen disease where every time I got hurt it would turn into a really dark purple scar and has not faded over the years. Im reading all these things about lightening scars and skin bleaching. Could someone please guide me in a direction to go?
