How can you make scars fade quicker?

I got a really deep cut on my leg a couple months ago but the scar is still dark red/purple. Is there a way I can male it fade a lot in a couple of weeks??|||i donknow about a couple of weeks but i used a coco butter lotion and it made some of my scars go away pretty quick
